General Terms and Conditions

1. Subject matter of the contract
These General Terms and Conditions govern the legal relationship between Schifffahrtsgesellschaft für den Zugersee AG (SGZ) and Ägerisee Schifffahrt AG (AeS) and their customers. They are an integral part of the booking. SGZ and AeS undertake to carry out the confirmed trips in accordance with the published and agreed conditions. In the event of a ship cancellation due to force majeure or a technical defect, the contract shall lapse without any compensation for either party. The SGZ/AeS will make every effort to offer the customer an alternative.

2. Conclusion of contract
The reservation by the customer can be made by telephone, online, in writing or in person. The contract is concluded when the customer makes a definitive reservation.

3. Number of participants
Please inform us of any major deviations from the number of people booked at least 5 working days before the event. The definitive number of people up to 48 hours before the event. Additional guests will be charged at the same price or paid on site at the boat's cash desk. For groups of 10 persons or more, a standardised menu choice is mandatory.

4. Prices
All published prices are in Swiss francs and include the currently applicable Swiss VAT rate. Prices are subject to change without notice. Reductions for half-fare or GA travelcard only on presentation. Not valid for extra or special journeys.

5. Payment
Payment is possible on the ships using the usual means of payment (cash, credit card, Twint, RekaCard, Postcard, debit card). Alternatively, the guest can be charged the total amount. For online bookings, payment is made by credit card (debited by our system providers Saferpay and Datatrans).

6. Deposit
The SGZ/AeS reserve the right to charge a deposit of the fare for reserved journeys. This deposit will be deducted from the cost of the journey or refunded in the event of a cancellation, with the operating costs being offset.

7. Cancellation
In the event of cancellation of the confirmed order, the following costs will be charged.

Individual course trips:
No cancellation and rebooking costs

Individuals Special trips (public trips outside the timetable):
Up to 2 days before the event → free of charge
Thereafter → 100 % of the total amount (boat trip/catering)

Group course and special trips (public trips outside the timetable):
Up to 30 days before the event → free of charge
Up to 14 days before the event → CHF 300 processing fee
Up to 5 days before the event → 50 % of the total amount (boat trip/catering)
Thereafter up to the day of the event → 100 % of the total amount (boat trip/catering)

Extra trips boat hire/boat services: Up to 60 days before the event → CHF 300 processing fee
Up to 30 days before the event → 50 % of the total amount
Thereafter up to the day of the event → 90 % of the total amount

Extra catering trips (GASTRONAUTIC/GASTRO ÄGERISEE):
Up to 60 days before the event → actual costs or at least CHF 500
Up to 30 days before the event → effective costs or at least 50%
Thereafter up to the day of the event → effective costs or at least 90 % of the total amount

Special cancellation conditions apply to journeys with services from third-party providers. These are noted on the ticket or the order confirmation.

8. Data protection
The personal data of guests is stored in accordance with the Swiss Data Protection Act. Insofar as this is necessary for the correct fulfilment of the contract, the personal data will be passed on to the partners of SGZ and AeS. By registering for an event, the guest agrees to be informed about offers, promotions, etc. in the future. If this is not desired, they can unsubscribe (reservation@zvb.ch or 041 515 58 58).

9. Catering
GASTRONAUTIC (SGZ) and GASTRO ÄGERISEE (AeS) are the tenants on all SGZ and AeS ships and cater for the culinary well-being of the guests. It is not possible to use the services of another caterer.

10. Cancellation of the event
In exceptional cases, the SGZ and AeS reserve the right to postpone trips (outside of course operations) with few registrations or to carry them out when the ship is stationary. Guests will be informed of any changes as soon as possible.

11. Liability
The guest is liable for any damage to the boat, furniture or equipment caused by negligent or wilful acts on the part of the guest. In the event of heavy soiling, additional cleaning costs will be charged to the customer. It is forbidden to set off fireworks inside the ship or to attach nails, screws, adhesive strips or paint to the walls and windows. If the ships are decorated, this shall be agreed in advance with the SGZ/AeS. The instructions of the skipper must be followed.

12. Final provisions
The relationship between the customer and SGZ and AeS shall be governed exclusively by Swiss law. The place of jurisdiction is Zug.
