Nanny on board!

Whether it's Sunday brunch or a culinary sunset cruise, the new nanny service turns a boat trip into a relaxing getaway for parents and an adventure for children.

A boat trip on Lake Zug is always a break from everyday life. For families, the trip across the water is now even more relaxing – and an adventure for children. The popular Sunday brunch cruise and culinary sunset cruises now offer a professional nanny service on board with games, fun and fresh sea air.

“We do crafts, paint, play and read – indoors or on the open deck, depending on what the weather is like,” says Dominic Fischer from Work & Life Zug. For a small additional charge (CHF 9 per child) on top of the actual childcare price, an exciting adventure programme with puzzle stations based on the water witch Aloisa or the sea dragon is also organised on board. It is also possible to have a meal together with the children.

The loving care is provided in German, but the nanny also speaks English. Children aged two and above are welcome. Advance registration is required so that the childcare can be planned individually.

The nanny service is a partnership between Zugersee Schifffahrt and Work & Life Zug. The private association runs two daycare centres – in Steinhausen and in the old town of Zug – with long opening hours from 7 a.m. to 7 p.m., even during the summer holidays. “We want to support parents in their everyday working lives while creating wonderful experiences and raising awareness of what we offer – and what could be better than a relaxing Sunday or an enjoyable sunset on the lake?” says Dominic Fischer.
