Price information

GA travel card holders and half-fare card holders

GA travel cards and half-fare cards are accepted on scheduled Zugersee Schifffahrt services. A reduced rate is available on special cruises.

Zuger Tagespass+

The new day ticket «Zuger Tagespass+» is valid for all zones within the Tarifverbund Zug. Additionally, it is valid on all scheduled cruises on lake Zugersee and lake Ägerisee.

Junior card/grandchild card
Swiss public transport family discounts apply on scheduled Zugersee Schifffahrt services. The junior card and the grandchild card allow 6 – 15 year-old children to travel free of charge when accompanied by a parent or grandparent. Junior cards and grandchild cards are available from all SBB counters for CHF 30.00.
Children of under 6 travel free.

Family Saturday
On Saturday, children under 16 (with ID) can travel free of charge on scheduled trips when accompanied by an adult.

Groups of 10 people or more are given a 20% discount on scheduled services. 1 in 10 travels free. This link takes you to the group rates for scheduled services.

Group of 10 people or more must reserve in advance (this does not guarantee a seat).

Seniors (AHV age)

There are no special discounts for senior passengers (women of 64 and over and men of 65 and over).

Disabled passengers

Disabled passengers

Disabled passengers may take a carer and/or guide dog with them free of charge. The disabled passenger or the carer must have a valid ticket and be able to demonstrate appropriate ID.

The Zugersee Schifffahrt boats are disability-compliant and wheelchair-friendly. MS Zug also has a wheelchair lift. This allows wheelchair-bound passengers to enjoy the lake views from the 1st floor.

Pushchairs and bicycles/bike trailers


There is nothing standing in the way of a family outing with a pushchair on the Zugersee Schifffahrt boats.


A bicycle or bike trailer ticket for lake Zug costs CHF 5.00 and is valid all day.

SBB self-loading tickets and bicycle GA travel cards are not valid for Zugersee Schifffahrt.

Groups with more than five bicycles should register one day in advance
(phone 041 728 58 58).

For reasons of space, we cannot guarantee that we can transport bicycles. If there is a shortage of space, the staff are responsible for deciding whether the bicycle can be taken. Zugersee Schifffahrt accepts no liability for damage caused to bicycles in transit.

Dogs and small animals

Dogs and small animals

The reduced rate applies to dogs.

Exception: Dogs of 30 cm or less at the shoulders (withers), cats and other tame animals can be carried in bags, baskets or other suitable containers free of charge as hand luggage.
